| Welcome!
To the World of
Raymond and Brenda Crispin

April 14, 2007
We have been in the machine embroidery
business since 2002. Brenda has 7 years experience and training in digitizing and
enjoys creating new designs using Sierra Embroidery Office. She has studied under
Jay Benko at SWF Mesa in Anaheim, and Chuck Wildes of North Hollywood, California. Raymond
enjoys hooping shirts, running the embroidery machine and making sales calls. Brenda
calls him her "Super Hooper!"
We have created musical instrument
designs; Celtic; Scottish Clan Badge; floral; dog breeds; classic, antique and vintage
cars; birds, cats and other animals plus customized designs.
We have a number of interests including
bluegrass, old-time folk, and mariachi music. Raymond sings in the choir at the First Presbyterian Church in Oxnard,
plays the violin and viola. Brenda plays rhythm guitar and organ and serves on
the Board of Deacons at First Pres. We also enjoy contra dancing, the best and most
fun aerobic exercise one can get! (Well, ok, that was a biased comment from one who often
avoids healthy exercise.) We currently play in Mariachi Costa de Oro and perform in the
Greater Oxnard, Ventura, and Santa Barbara areas.
We enjoy a fun and exciting cottage
industry and produce unique note and greeting cards. We have been involved in the
note card business since 1999. In 2001 we decided to branch out with a new craft in
order to stretch our creative talents. We purchased a commercial-grade
embroidery machine along with embroidery software that allows us to create our own
designs. You may view our creations on our website: www.crispincraft.com.
We are a husband and wife team and we
share the thrill and responsibilities of running our own home-based business. We
enjoy offering original art work along with careful customer service. Each customer
is unique and special and we enjoy the freedom to treat them as such. We take our
booth to craft fairs and festivals and always enjoy meeeting people and sharing a good
chat.
Brenda retired in 2007 after an
exciting and rewarding career at the Oxnard Public
Library where she served as an adult and childrens' reference librarian with a
specialization in Oxnard history.
We have enjoyed life in Oxnard,
