Raymond and Brenda were married at a bluegrass music jammer's weekend.  The morning of the wedding Brenda participated in a band contest.  As guitar player and vocalist with the Bluegrass Belles she sang an old ballad:

I asked my love to take a walk,BGBelles.jpg (6533 bytes)

just to talk about our wedding day,

down beside where the waters flow,

down by the banks of the Ohio.

For those of you who have never heard this tune (hopefully you can hear it playing in the background) in the end the singer killed the only man she loved because he would not marry her.  Raymond, listening in the audience stood up and yelled, "I'll marry you, I'll marry you!"  And he did.   That very afternoon.

There was plenty of music that day and no shortage of wedding jokes.  National fiddle champion Byron Berline, and friends entertained us all.

Finally it was time to tie the knot with the Best Man....er I mean Best Dog, Leroy, in attendance.

Already the gifts come pouring in....but who is the ball and chain from?  Best Dog Leroy thought everyone was laughing at him lying at the feet of his people!
